I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Superman, but this hardback graphic novel, which collects together the 6 issue 'Godfall' story arc, was hard for me to resist.
Let me tell you this...it is absolutely STUNNING. If there is anyone that doubts the artistry and talent in comic books, this is one to show them. It is a work of beauty. The storyline is great - very imaginative and it stays within the boundaries of the Superman universe (quite literally)!
As for the artwork, well - what can I stay??? It takes the whole book up a quantum level. The fact that this is a hardback edition, with a beautiful sleeve and premium grade, high-quality paper, only adds to the sumptuousness of the experience.The colours are vivid and vibrant. The images just jump right out at you! Indeed, THIS graphic novel is a perfect example of the artistry and brilliance that can be achieved in modern, popular, commercial comic books.
Next time you are in a comic shop, see if you can get your hands on this baby. You could do a lot worse. You might not be able to see inside as my copy came wrapped in cellophane, but have no fear, with a Nervecentre guarantee of quality, you will not be dissapointed by this book.
In my view, 'Superman: Godfall' gets a whopping 10 out of 10!!
